Go deeper in your faith.

Go deeper in your faith.

Go deeper in your faith.

Go deeper in your faith.

Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long (Psalm 25:5).

In spite of its accessibility, it's a sad reality that many Christians do not engage with their Bible with sufficient regularity — if at all.

The American Church Doctors Ministries, which has been monitoring this issue for decades, records that only around 17% of Americans read their Bible daily, and 26% don't read it all*. Other research suggests it is more likely to be as low as 9%.**

Yet in spite of these figures, there are certain tools that are widely acknowledged to have a positive impact, such as attending church services, Bible apps — and small Bible study groups.

At Grace Church Caversham, we're actively encouraging each other to buck the trend.

Surveys in Australia returned similar results - see:

**Other research suggests that only 11-37% have read the full Bible, and that previous surveys (such as Lifeway's in 2019) may have been optimistic with figures of 35% of protestant Christians reading daily. When quizzed further about their reading that week, only 9% could still claim to have read their Bible daily.
