Do you feel like you have unfinished business with God? Are you new to the faith and need some context to all the crazy stuff happening to you right now? Perhaps you've been around church for a while, but things aren't going quite as you imagined? Or are you a complete newbie to all this and just want some answers to the big questions of life?
Alpha is a space to unpack the basics of Christianity — and God — together.
No pressure. No strings. Just space for nibbles, interesting talks and open conversations. That’s it. Come along, and see what you think.
You’ll find Alpha running across the UK in churches, pubs, village halls, schools, universities, prisons, festivals — wherever! It’s free, and everyone’s invited.
The course typically runs over 11 weeks for adults, with each week asking a different big question around the Christian faith, which is then unpacked and explored together.
Alpha is made for people who are in the same boat. Are you unsure about organised religion? About your own faith? About the God of the Bible?
Whoever you are, you’ll meet people from Grace Church and your local community, and you'll get to know them over the course of your Alpha.
Each session kicks off with some time to connect and eat together. We can't promise a three-course dinner, but there'll be something to get you in the mood.
Last year, over 2 million people around the world tried Alpha, with 10,000 courses run in the UK alone. We've run several Alphas here at Grace Church over the past 30 years, and we've seen people becoming Christians, getting baptised, and becoming part of our church community.
So with a new course planned for the end of April, if you think you might be interested in joining the conversation, let us know here, or speak to Cathy, Tom or David.
That's all folks!
