It's hard to pack into a paragraph or two what Sundays really mean to Christians, but if you nailed us down to a soundbite then the following words might come to mind: celebration, adoration, communion, reverence — and of course, Christ.

Sundays are a special day for Christians, partly because it's tradition for us to all meet together, but mainly because of what it represents. But it's also about starting the week off on the right foot.

But isn't Sunday the week-END? In modern culture, yes, but this wasn't always the case, and in some languages (like Portuguese for instance) Monday is actually called second-day (segunda-feira — or second fair) reflecting its secondary order in the week.
