Do you struggle with prayer? Perhaps you consider yourself a prayer warrior with a PHD in spiritual guerilla warfare? Whoever you are and whatever the stage you're at on the journey, there's something for you at our all new Prayer Room!
From the 29nd January, a new initiative will be starting in the church for the first time.
With a mixture of the directed and self-directed, people will be free to use designated rooms within the church building, starting on the 29 January in the main Worship Hall, to dedicate themselves to time with God in a quiet, familiar, and distraction-free space.
With many people motivated to start afresh in 2026, sometimes getting out the house and introducing some spiritual rhythm to your day can really help balance a hectic schedule. Whether it’s praying for your own circumstances, friends and family, or perhaps just to dedicate a specific time to the discipline of prayer and/ or fasting, we are offering a quiet space for you to achieve your aims during working hours.
With a backdrop of soft worship music, the launch will see the Prayer Room opening from midday to 6pm on Thursday 29th. This is set to evolve into a morning and an afternoon slot — and potentially further days added — as the vision develops, so please stay tuned for further details as they emerge.
The overreaching heart of this initiative is to bring the church community together, and to make Grace Church Caversham a praying church. As God works his will within his church and all around us, it is even more important that we unite around prayer and worship in challenging times.
If you have any queries about this or related matters, please contact us via the website, speak to Cathy, Tom, or one of our elders to find out more.
May your time with the Lord be blessed.
