Who's who
Elders
Grace Church is led by a team of men recognised as being called by God to govern, guide and guard the church. The word the Bible uses for this role is 'elder'.
Colin has been an elder since
March 2005 and has been leading the team since the autumn of 2006. His
main responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of our Sunday
ministry and the day-to-day organisation of the life of the church. He
is married to Ruth and they have 2 daughters, Ketsia aged 9 and Lois
aged 7. Colin is an avid supporter of Liverpool FC and enjoys going for the occasional run!!
Derek works mornings for a
charity in Reading called Lattitude and serves part-time at the church.
He is married to Linda and has 3 grown up sons and 2 gorgeous
granddaughters. Derek and Linda have run various young people’s groups;
currently run a life group and help people pastorally. Don’t mention
his jokes, which have deteriorated over 36 years!
Nick has been a member of the
church for 22 years and joined the eldership team in July 2008. His
main responsibilities include overseeing our evangelism and outreach.
